As I drove over Glenshee to Braemar Lodge Hotel , the sun was shining and the ground was white, a beautiful day for a winter wedding. It was the big day of Hannah and Dan who had originally planned a huge Wedding at Atholl Palace in Pitlochry, sadly Covid came along and changed that.
It’s always good to see a dog at a Wedding, this time there was three!
I caught up with Hannah and her bridesmaids who were getting ready in one of the lodges, restrictions prevented a make up artist coming along so she was doing it herself
I found Dan and all the guys in their hotel room and dragged them outside for a few photos
Soon, it was time to start the service, conducted by Jane Betchell , as usual a wonderful and personal service
It was too dangerous to make the guests walk over the ice for photos so we were stuck at the front door of the hotel
We were luck enough to have some daylight left in the day, despite it being almost mid winter so we headed off in the car to Linn of Dee where I was sure there would be some fantastic scenery – there was even a snowball fight between Dan and his new Mother in law
Back to the hotel for speeches before I said my farewells and headed back over the hill to home
Thanks Dan and Hannah for choosing me as your photographer, it was far from the Wedding we all planned but you had a great day none the less.
