I was booked by Tracy and Stevie to photograph their Same Sex Wedding in Scotland, to be specific at The Fairmont St Andrews. It was a long time ago I was last here at this wonderful hotel which has recently been refurbished to a very high standard, its great to work in such a huge venue with beautiful decoration. Sadly the weather was not kind to us and we couldn’t make use of the lovely gardens with views across St Andrews to Dundee but that was not such an issue with so many places inside for photography.
Tracy and Stevie were both getting ready in the hotel, at different ends of the longest corridor in the world – or so it seemed, I clocked up a few steps that day as I ran back and forward between the 2 rooms. They both made a very grand entrance down the beautiful double staircase to their waiting guests and to a lovely service conducted by Fife Registrars. That was followed by a big group photo of everyone, the staircase made the ideal location for that before we spent a bit of time on family and guest photos, time was running out by this time and we had a quick run round the hotel taking photos of Tracy and Stevie in locations I had scouted earlier.
Dinner was served and I enjoyed a meal in the bar before the evening guests arrived and the dancing began
A lovely day with a great couple and fun guests – what more can you ask for in a days work?
